Nisqually Valley News essay contest to highlight mothers

"Readers will have a chance to honor their mothers and win them a hanging basket during the NVN’s Mother’s Day Essay Contest.

The essay question is “Why does your mom deserve flowers for Mother’s Day?” with a word limit of 250-350 words.

The contest is broken up into three age groups;
7-10,
11-15
and 16-18.
The winner from each age group will win a hanging basket donated by Jason’s Greenhouse for their mom.

Essays must be submitted by 11 a.m Monday, April 25.

Submissions may be sent to

submitted in person to the NVN office at 106 Plaza Dr. N.E. in Yelm
