YELM - HEAT WARNING THROUGH WEEKEND!

- "Heat records could fall this week -- seriously"
"KING 5 Meteorologist Rich Marriott says the temperature at Sea-Tac Airport could reach 86 degrees Thursday. That would beat the old record for Sept. 8 of 85 degrees. On Saturday, the temperature could reach 88, which would beat the Sept. 10 record of 85.

Marriott said it would be the first time this summer the record at Sea-Tac Airport would be broken," quoting KING-5 News in Seattle.

- "Western Washington under rare red flag fire warning"
"Unstable weather conditions and extremely dry air has prompted a red flag warning for all of Western Washington.

Red flag warnings are usually alerts reserved for Eastern Washington or the central part of the state, where it's hot and dry throughout most of the summer. But conditions are just right for potentially explosive fire weather right here on the west side," quoting KING-5 News in Seattle.
