'Rock the bulb' here this weekend -
Is this REALLY smart, or an ulterior motive?
From the City of Yelm website:
Rock the Bulb
Join Puget Sound Energy in Yelm on August 18th and 19th for Rock the Bulb—a fun family event where PSE residential electric customers can trade up to 15 old incandescent bulbs for up to 15 free ENERGY STAR® labeled CFL bulbs.
The event will be held at Goodwill (906 E. Yelm Ave, Yelm, WA 98597), from 10 am to 4 pm. Over 100,000 PSE customers have taken steps to save energy – be one of them at Rock the Bulb!

Editor's Note:
Is this a good way to dump unwanted bubs on unsuspecting citizens?
CFL bulbs are now "the past" with their high mercury content that require proper disposal by taking them to Hazo-House.
Our home has used the new Phillips LED light for months now, converting all of our CFL bulbs and properly taking them for hazardous handling. The bulbs use less power, produce no heat and are totally safe.
PSE is the same company the city says put a transmission pole directly in the center of a Mosman Rd. planned extension at 3rd Street, in Yelm. Yet, the City of Yelm is not that bright in supporting this event here, either, pun intended!
THIS EVENT IS BEING FOISTED ON AN UNAWARE PUBLIC.
