THURSTON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING ON COMP. PLAN TOMORROW

The Thurston County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on March 3 regarding proposed changes to the Thurston County Comprehensive Plan.

The changes affect housing and working lands policies, regulations governing homeless encampments, as well as the joint plans Thurston County has with the cities of Yelm, Olympia and Lacey.

The proposed changes are part of the 2009 Comprehensive Plan Amendments for the Thurston County Comprehensive Plan.

The public hearing will begin at 7 p.m. at the Thurston County Courthouse Complex, 2000 Lakeridge Dr. SW, Olympia. Written comments may be submitted in lieu of testimony and should be sent to Thurston County Planning, Attention: Olivia Terwilleger, until 4 p.m. on the 3rd

All proposals are available online or in hard copy in the Thurston County Permit Assistance Center.

This writer raised these issues more than 2 years ago about the Thurston County Comp Plan.
