PASTOR JEFF ADAMS COULD LIVE BY EXAMPLE

Pastor Jeff Adams could be a force for good in this community, if only he lived by the example of his column in the NVN this week, where he wrote:

“We should break the cycle of negativity”

“Why do we focus so much on the negatives?…

The following are some Scriptures which may help you break the cycle of negativity & become more positive and encouraging…
– “Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up (Romans 15:2).”

– “Do not let unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen (Ephesians 4:29).”

– “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing (1 Thessalonians 5;11).”

– “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things (Philippians 4:8).”

For someone who utters and pens these words to continue to spout his negative views about our local School (RSE) and people he knows nothing about from first hand experience or investigation, these words ring hollow.
I have asked this man for over 5 years to sit down and meet with me so he can share his continued accusations face-to-face and to this day, he has not done so.

My offer still stands, Pastor Adams.

I invite you once again to “take the log out of your eye” and break the cycle of negativity & become more positive and encouraging, to learn about and please his neighbor for his good, to build him up for all of us are brothers (and sisters) living in this community!

Pastor Adams, YOU could be a force in educating yourself & sharing with ALL constituents here to unite everyone for the greater good of the community. Wouldn’t you prefer THAT to be your legacy, rather than the one your promulgate — divisiveness, fear & spreading rumors rather than facts?

    That’s NOT the point. Pastor Adams accuses with few facts & does not face the people he accuses.
    OK, if he wishes to be that way, fine!
    I consider that a coward.

    I am certain “Pastor Adams to be very genuine in his compassion for fellow humans, and he stands up for the not-so heard voice.”

    Kerri, you say, “Everyone can choose with whom to keep company and engage in any meaningful conversation.”
    For sure. Birds of a feather flock together.

    “I want to say that, having been a former student for 19 years, I DID take the time to speak with Pastor Adams extensively.”

    That’s good for you that he met with you, however, you are a disgruntled FORMER student from many years ago & have shared much in common with him to support his diatribes to promote fear, divisiveness & rumors here.

    To quote Diane D’Acuti’s Letter to the the Editor this week, not one person has disputed any of the documents I presented here on April 26th, not even Pastor Adams — let’s get right down to the point.
    Calling names, unfounded accusations & unfsupported statements are what church leaders have used for thousands of years to call attention to those their leaders do not like, while their flocks are kept in the dark. In the meantime, Pastor Adam’s followers who live in Yelm will get whipped with another 16% water rate increase this week in their water bills. Where is he for them — another water rate increase based on an unapproved Water System Plan! I have never seen him in City Council standing up for his people about this.

    To present the facts & records and question our elected officials are all integral to the democratic process in this land.

    For someone penning his negative views based on accusations not supported by public documents, his column rings hollow.
    The fine Pastor could learn about the issues & meet the people he criticizes, thereby being a force in the community as a leader to unite all peoples in the true Christian spirit, instead of always so divisive.
    Wouldn’t that be a legacy for his parishioners, his family & this town to be proud?”

    Steve-
    Please don’t label me “disgruntled.” You personally do not know how I feel.
    Also, you are not privy to what the nature of my conversations with Pastor Adams were.

    I do agree with Diane D here in that he could promote more unity within the community by not being an RSE-basher per se.

    This view could use some adopting by all parties.

  5. Amazing — this is a community leader & this Pastor is sounding like he is talking to his flock from the NVN Staff & City Hall!
    Afterall, Adams has several of the aforementioned pictured at his church’s functions on his website & they’re Facebook buddies, too.

    He posted this May 8th on a local website!

    “Frustrations
    I know many of you can be frustrated that Judith [JZ Knight] and her crew get away with so much – especially when so much time and energy has been spent in carefully documenting and exposing the multiple violations, scams, etc. In no way do I presume my words mean much to any of you. However, I would like to say I admire all who stand firm in what they believe. Additionally, I hope each of you stays steady and true to your convictions related to exposing RSE’s destructive practices and open violations. Don’t give up on doing what you know is right! Doing the right thing is always the right thing to do – even when it’s hard to continue. Others are encouraged by your perseverance. Over time more will join you. Even though you feel alone in your quest, you are not alone.
    Thank you for all you have done and will continue to do. It is truly admirable.”
