Hertz Equipment Rental, a long-time fixture on Yelm Avenue has closed their shop here and consolidated in their Olympia store. This move has been in the works for awhile.

Hertz’s location was preceded here by Tom’s Rental’s, another long-time Yelm business.

This will be a huge loss for this area, though Hertz will continue renting to customers here from their Olympia outlet.
Another loss of tax revenue for the City of Yelm, which continues in a taxable sales decline.
