Also don’t forget about home composting and yard waste recycling. Thurston County offers subsidized compost bins and home composting is a great way to reduce your solid waste. Food scraps, coffee grounds, yard waste, and even white and brown paper can all be composted right in your back yard for an incredibly effective soil amendment every spring!
