BEGINNING SACRED GEOMETRY WORKSHOP

From the Press Release:
Sacred Geometry is an ancient science that reveals the precise way that the energy of creation organizes itself, from the most minute particles to the patterns of the cosmos. We will explore the countless connections of geometry to nature, music, art, architecture, scientific phenomenon and more. Studying Sacred Geometry is an experiential learning process that includes drawing of 3 dimensional forms in 2 dimensions with the traditional geometer’s compass, square (straight edge) and pencil.

Through this workshop, the student will be able to: draw basic geometric patterns and understand the significance of such forms as the Vesica Pisces, Flower of Life, the Golden Mean (Phi Ratio), Fractals and others, as well as their relationships to nature, art, music and sciences. The student will understand the importance of proportions, relationship and ratio and can use the constructions they create for their own creative endeavors.

COST:
$25 adults, $10 children under 12

WHAT TO BRING:
Drawing pad, approx. 10 x 16. Also drafters compass, mechanical pencil, straight edge (ruled or un-ruled is fine). Optional: colored pencils or markers. If you do not have these tools, there will be a few on hand (first come, first served).
