“Home sales in South Sound remain sluggish”
“Home sales during October throughout the South Sound continued to fall when compared to a year earlier, according to the Northwest Multiple Listing Service report….
Thurston County recorded 229 closed sales during October, down from 290 a year earlier and 247 during September. The median price fell from $225,172 during October 2009 to $224,000 last month,” quoting the Business Examiner.
Ed. Note:
As Yelm is involved in their budget process, they should be aware that again this year, they will get less property taxes, less home permit fees & less home sales revenue – even more so since so many real estate agents report so many not buying here because of the high water connection fees, water rate increases, annual tax increases, and a city government that does not listen to their citizens.
The city should tighten the belts on their budget.
