Adrienne Wall introduces International Student Volunteers, which ” is the highest rated Volunteer & Adventure Travel Program in the world and has been selected as one of the Top 10 Volunteer Programs by the U.S. Center for Citizen Diplomacy.”
Yelm-resident drienne Wall’s report, in her own words as provided to the Yelm Community Blog:
I first want to say thank you for taking the time to hear about my volunteering this summer. Earlier this year my boyfriend and I were accepted into a program for international volunteering through an organization called International Student Volunteers (ISV). This is a non-profit organization that plans volunteering opportunities for students all around the world. The trip I applied to was for the country of Thailand. There are a few different types of projects you can apply to be a part of and I choose the community based project.
This project is going to allow me to work with children who were recently rescued from the sex trafficking.
I am not completely sure of what I will be completing from a day to day basis but I do know that we will be interacting with the children, teaching them English, working on their orphanage and giving them some hope that there is still good in the world. I plan on obtaining by PhD in psychology with the hopes of eventually becoming a child therapist.
I really appreciate you taking the time and interest in my trip this summer.
If you need any more information feel free to email me: adro.wall@gmail.com
I can give people more information if they are interested in my volunteer project.
Thank you so much and have a great day!
Sincerely,
Adrienne Wall
