THURSTON COUNTY PUBLIC HEARING: EXTENSION OF PRESERVATION ORDINANCE

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR THE THURSTON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Thurston County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 7, 2011 beginning at 5:30PM in Room 152, Building 1 of the Thurston County Courthouse Complex, 2000 Lakeridge Dr. SW, Olympia, WA 98502. The Board may take action at the conclusion of the hearing.
The purpose of the hearing will be to accept public comment on the renewal of Ordinance No. 14260, as amended by Ordinance No. 14380, which expires on July 28, 2011. Ordinance No. 14478 renewed interim regulations for prairie and Oregon white oak habitat under Chapter 17.15 Critical Areas of the Thurston County Code. The interim regulations are proposed to be extended for 6 months. There are no proposed changes to the interim regulations.

“On Thursday, July 7th the Thurston Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing on the proposed extension of the Interim Prairie Conservation Ordinance. Because of the public interest in this subject, the written public comment period has been extended to July 15, 2011.
