Saturday’s “Workshop focuses on winter weather basics for livestock”

The Thurston Conservation District has a workshop planned that will focus on caring for livestock during the winter months.

The workshop will be held on Nov. 3 at Stickhorse Farm in Tenino. Resource specialist Brian Thompson will teach participants about mud management, pasture care, manure storage and sacrifice areas. He wil also answer question about planning for spring.

Registration is required for the free event.
