DECEMBER: THURSTON HOME SALES UP,
MEDIAN PRICES CONTINUE DOWNWARD

Rolf Boone in The Olympian reports:
“Thurston County home sales rose 5 percent in December, ending the year on an encouraging note after sales were flat for most of 2011, according to Northwest Multiple Listing Service data released today (January 4, 2012).”

“Median prices fell 7.42 percent to $212,000 from $229,000 and pending sales rose 14.43 percent to 230 units from 201 units.”
