“Hi everyone: I hope all of you had a good Easter holiday, and that all is well with each of you. I just want to briefly give you an update and let you know that the committees are hard at work setting the stage for opening our free clinic for our area. The Environmental Scan committee has made amazing progress toward a document that will outline the current health status of the area, and document the medical needs of the community. The Legal Committee has likewise been hard at work with determining the local, state and Federal requirements for opening our facility, and the Operations Committee has a meeting scheduled for tonight to continue their progress toward getting ready to actually start seeing patients. My sincere thanks to all of you who are involved.
There is much work still to be done, and we need the help of everyone who is interested and has time and energy to contribute. Please let me know if you have questions or want to know more about how you can help. The willingness to contribute to this project by members ofur (sic) community has been so energizing to those of us who concieved (sic) of a free clinic in our area, and I have never doubted that before too long we will have a source of medical care for those who haven’t had access for whatever reason. Our goal remains the same: to open a free clinic for residents of the Yelm, Rainier, Yenino (sic), Roy, McKenna and surrounding areas for the under- and uninsured. With your help, that goal seems much closer to a reality now than ever.
You can keep an eye on our progress on our Facebook page, Yelm Rainier Free Clinic. Or call or e-mail me for questions or if you have suggestions.”
