Yelm Community Theater shines in new theater!

May 17 22: STANDING ROOM ONLY is very pleased to present a first for the Yelm Community.

Our next production is a World Premiere which will be shown for the very first time at the Triad Theater in Yelm.

A LOUD NOISE IN A PUBLIC PLACE is an epic vaudeville play with music which spans four decades in the life of George Metesky, the notorious Mad Bomber, who held New York City hostage all through the 1950s with his homemade pipe bombs. George is an Everyman figure who takes on the established power structure in a quixotic quest for justice, and despite repeated betrayals, rebuffs and indignities, never gives up in his relentlessly determined, though monstrously misguided, battle for fair play. Director Nancy Hillman adroitly employs the musical background to bring out the wit and wisdom of this ethical conundrum, keeping the material freshly entertaining as well as intriguing. Featuring a group of local, multi-talented actors. Musical Direction by Stephen Borsuk.

The show runs from May 17-22 at the Triad, 102 Yelm Ave. East. 8pm. All tickets $12. On sale at Gordon’s Garden Center in Yelm.

For reservations, call 446-2188.
