“The [Thurston County] fairs annual Secondhand Safari will be on Saturday, October 6 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., where people can buy, sell and trade their secondhand treasures. There will be plenty of treasure seekers and bargain hunters, with over 1,500 visitors and about 100 vendors on average in recent years.”

New at Secondhand SafariWinter Coat and Clothing Drive
“Did your kids outgrow last years winter coats? Now you can bring those coats and other gently used or new winter gear to the new Warm Winter Wear and Coat Drive booth at the October 6 Secondhand Safari event at the county fairgrounds. Winter clothing donations are tax deductible and benefit needy Thurston County kids served by Community Youth Services.
“The Community Youth Services booth will be staffed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Secondhand Safari, and winter clothing donations will still be accepted from 1-3 p.m. in a collection box at the Community Youth Services booth.”
