“Ann has spent the past 23 years working as a school social worker in several districts including Eatonville, Centralia and for the past 13 years in Yelm. Many students, staff and family members have benefited from Anns expertise and care. She has deep compassion for children and families and the struggles they face as they navigate life, schooling and unexpected challenges. Her gentle spirit enables her to easily relate to people of all ages and circumstances. These trusting relationships allow her to impart skills and strategies encouraging students to fully meet their potential. When asked what she enjoys most about her career, Ann shared that its the kids and their resilience. She especially enjoys helping children understand their assets and building to those assets to help them become successful learners and citizens.”
