Delta Airlines expands int’l access via Seattle hub –
for Yelm-bound vistors

Yelm notes some of the largest numbers of international passengers annually destined to the South Sound coming to the Ramtha School of Enlightenment campus here.

Delta Airlines and pre-merger airline partner Northwest Airlines have long been the airline of choice for Yelm-bound passengers from international origins. Now Delta Airlines, Inc. has announced new nonstop approval to operate to Sea-Tac from Tokyo-Haneda. This is a huge development in convenience for Tokyo-originating passengers.

“The new Haneda flight will complement Delta’s nonstop flight between Seattle and Tokyo-Narita, which will be expanded and upgraded to Boeing 747-400 service on June 1.”

Effective June 17, 2013, Delta begins nonstop service from Seattle to Shanghai, adding to their international non-stops from Sea-Tac to Paris-de Gaulle, Beijing, Osaka, Tokyo-Narita and Amsterdam, making Delta the airline with the most international seats to/from Sea-Tac.

“Delta’s international growth in Seattle is possible because of its partnership with Alaska Airlines, which operates a domestic hub at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Customers of both carriers enjoy access to an expanded network under a major codesharing agreement, as well as reciprocal frequent flier benefits and airport lounge access,” quoting the Delta Airlines Press Release.
