Summer officially begins in Yelm tonight

The longest day of the year, known as the summer solstice occurs June 21 2013, at exactly 1:04 am EDT (10:04pm PDT), when the Northern Hemisphere of the Earth will reach the point of greatest inclination to the Sun.
