Two Yelm men in news yesterday for law-breaking

1. “Yelm man pleads guilty to soliciting 17-year-old prostitute”
” A 46-year-old Yelm man pleaded guilty Thursday to communication with a minor for immoral purposes and misdemeanor patronizing a prostitute.

Scott Surma, was arrested in March, after a Bremerton Police Department investigation identified him as a customer of a 17-year-old prostitute, court papers state.

Surma, who could face up to three months in jail as a result of his convictions Thursday, will be sentenced on July 25,” quoting Jeremy Pawloski in The Olympian.

2. “‘Sovereign Citizen’ no longer sovereign”
A Yelm man was sentenced to 97 months in prison and three years of supervised release last Friday (June 14) for advising and assisting others in a tax fraud scheme, the Department of Justice announced in a press release last Friday. (And “hit with $705,276 in restitution”)
Raymond Leo Jarlik Bell was convicted in March,” quoting Steven Wyble in the Nisqually Valley News.
