Yelm City Council decisions in the news

– “Yelm Approves Sewer Plan, Rate Increases”
“Rates Will Go Up More Than 20% in Next Five Years”

“The Yelm City Council on Tuesday adopted a new general sewer plan and approved sewer rate increases.

According to Project Manager Stephanie Ray, sewer rates will increase 5.4 percent in 2013 (which took effect Jan. 1), 4 percent annually in 2014-16, and 3 percent in 2017. The increases cover the operation and maintenance costs of existing infrastructure and pay for small-scale capital projects and short-term improvements, Ray said.”

On top of water rate increases, Sequestration cuts and now the Federal shutdown, how much more can our military residents of Yelm take?
However, they have been silent at City Council sessions.
