“Pregnant fugitive bunker builder headed back to Romania”
“Like her husband, Yelm woman returning to Romania to face tax charges”
By Levi Pulkkinen in the Seattle P-I:
“Facing an extradition request from her home country, Diana Nemes agreed to extradition Monday following a hearing in U.S. District Court at Seattle. A federal judge signed the order her return to Romania, where she and her husband Radu Nemes are accused in an elaborate tax cheat.”
“Arresting the couple on March 18, FBI agents searched the Vail Road Southeast property, as well as a neighboring property occupied by two associates.”
“The Nemes remain jailed. Publicly accessible court records dont show any charges against the 10 men and women living in the United States suspected of assisting them.”
Diana Nemes is to be escorted and flown out of Sea-Tac Int’l Airport for Bucharest, Romania today, with her two young sons to follow on different flights.
The Nisqually Valley News (NVN) has had one of their Top Stores since publishing April 17 that “Nemes Fights Detention” and have not kept-up with this story’s developments in recent weeks where Diana Nemes said she would not fight extradition if her boys could also return to Romania. Hopefully, the NVN will change their lead story TODAY after reading this Blog.
