Tenino, Rainier & Yelm Schools in the news –
YHS’s Bergh named state History Teacher of the Year

– “Three Thurston schools will get help improving”
“Three Thurston County schools landed on the states list of under-performing schools and will receive additional funding and support to try to make improvements, according to the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Rainier Elementary School was listed as priority because of its reading and math test scores during the past three years.

Tenino Middle School and Yelm Middle School were listed as focus schools because they fell below the states bar for reading and math scores by the subgroup of students receiving special education services,” quoting Lisa Pemberton in The Olympian.
