Verizon proposes cell tower near Lawrence Lake

From the notice to area property owners:

“The proposed structure, which will be located in the forested south central portion of property located
at 16224 Vail Road SE,will be a 150 foot tall monopole with flush mounted antennas. The support structure and antennas will be painted dark green to blend into the surrounding vegetation. As one of the application requirements, we are required to fly a large brightly-colored balloon at a height equivalent to the height that is being proposed for the support structure. The balloon will be flown for a period of eight daylight hours. During that time, we will take a series of photographs to demonstrate the proposed height from various vantage points. We are also required to send notification of this balloon test to surrounding property owners within 2600 feet of the subject property. Your property is within that notification area.

The balloon test is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 9 AM to 5 PM. Should there be windy
conditions or poor visibility on the io”. the test will be rescheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 9AM to 5 PM. This will give you and your neighbors an opportunity to view the balloon and see how tall the tower would be on the subject property.”
