Lincoln abolished U.S. slavery 150 years ago today

Today marks National Freedom Day recognizing the joint House & Senate resolution President Abraham Lincoln signed 150 years ago today, February 1, 1865, outlawing slavery in the United States, later becoming the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
