STANDING ROOM ONLY (SRO) presents:
“You Can’t Take It With You” at the Triad Theater
“Once upon a time there was very unusual family, they worked when they wanted, they slept when they wanted, they played when it pleased them, and they loved and supported each other. No, friends, this is not a fairy tale. It is just an exceedingly heartwarming play which loudly proclaims that happiness is still possible if everyone does precisely what they wish to do.
Tony loves Alice, Ed loves Essie and his printing press. Penny loves Paul and play writing. Donald loves Rheba and eating…..while Grandpa oversees it all. If you think such Utopian lives make for dull theater without all the stress, but instead it is a laugh riot when all these unique and free-wheeling personalities get together under the same roof. Hilarity results, and the excitement is ongoing, especially when the IRS comes to call, or a Russian Grand Duchess, a classical ballet teacher who wrestles, or a stiff-necked business mogul and his snobbish wife.
Directed by Nancy Tribush Hillman, playing April 10-11-12, 17-18-19, 7:30pm at the Triad Theater.
Tickets $15 in advance, $20 at the door, on sale at Gordon’s Garden Center and the Yelm Food Coop.
Call 360-446-2188 for advance reservations,” quoting SRO.
