2015 Candidate Filing Week is May 11-15

Candidates must file with the Thurston County Auditor’s Office during this period to qualify to be on the 2015 primary ballot. Thurston County Auditor Mary Hall’s Office noted these Yelm City Council filings on opening day yesterday:
Position 1 currently occupied by JW Foster: JW Foster filed,

Position 2 currently occupied by Joe Baker: Candidates Joe Baker and Molly A. Carmody (Yelm Planning Commissioner)filed,

Position 4 currently occupied by Jennifer Littlefield: Jennifer Littlefield filed,

Position 6 currently occupied by Ken Garmann (previously announced he is not running for this position): Joe DePinto, Terry Kaminski (Yelm Planning Commissioner) and Preston Collins filed.

Candidates can file to run for these positions through Friday afternoon.
For the first time in many years, voters will have choices for two City Council positions, where they previously had no choice but to vote for a single incumbent candidate.
