National Weather Service issues Special Statement for our area

Issued by The National Weather Service Seattle/Tacoma, WA
Mon, Jun 8, 2:47 am PDT

… ANOTHER VERY WARM DAY IS IN STORE FOR AREAS FROM ABOUT SEATTLE SOUTHWARD IN THE INTERIOR…
WHILE IT WILL BE 2 TO 3 DEGREES COOLER TODAY THAN IT WAS ON SUNDAY… IT WILL STILL BE QUITE WARM IN THE INTERIOR FROM ABOUT SEATTLE SOUTHWARD. HIGHS TODAY WILL TOP OUT IN THE MID AND UPPER 80S THIS AFTERNOON… WITH WARMEST TEMPERATURES IN THE SEATTLE AND TACOMA URBAN AREAS AND FROM OLYMPIA SOUTHWARD.
IF YOU ARE OUTDOORS DURING THE HEAT OF THE DAY… SLOW IT DOWN A LITTLE AND MAKE SURE YOU DRINK PLENTY OF WATER.

Sunday’s 91 degrees was within 2 degrees of the all-time record June 7th high temperature of 93 degrees, set in 1948.
