SRO presents The Pajama Game @ the Triad July 7-12 –
Community Theater shines bright in Yelm!

“It is good old 1954, and at the Sleep Tite Pajama Factory, the workers are asking for a seven and a half cent an hour raise. Sid, the handsome hunk of new superintendent has fallen for Babe, the Union representative, and both are torn between allegiances to their jobs versus attraction towards each other. In this delightful slice of musical comedy, the lovers are surrounded by a company of madcap characters, featuring the ditzy secretary, Gladys, her jealous factory supervisor boyfriend, Hines, their disgruntled boss, Mr. Hasler, the president of the Union and chronic girl-chaser, Prez, and a treasure trove of fellow workers, who, besides knowing how to sew pajamas, can all sing and dance like professionals. Naturally, in spite of all the obstacles accompanying the Labor vs. Management situation, nothing can stop the show from ending tunefully and happily, ergo perfect for the entire family.”

Directed by Nancy Tribush Hillman, with Music Direction by Stephen Borsuk, The Pajama Game features such popular songs as “Hey There”, “Steam Heat” and “Hernando’s Hideaway”.
