Mourning the passing of Roger Erskine

The Executive Committee is sad to report the passing of Roger Erskine, Immediate Past Chair of the Thurston Party Democrats. Roger died peacefully at his home Friday [Dec. 11] afternoon.

Roger will be remembered as a tenacious leader and activist who gave his all for Democratic ideals.

His family is planning a memorial event in January. Details will be announced as they become available.
[The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.]

I applaud Roger’s tireless efforts of outreach to include SE Thurston County in the Thurston County Democrats vision, which helped to get the first Democratic County Auditor elected here in 71 years, Mary Hall. I knew Erskine as a man of integrity, ethics, foresight and passion for the party’s ideals. He is sorely missed! Blessings to his family.
