“The City of Yelm is seeking an experienced manager and strong leader who understands all aspects of municipal government and is prepared to embrace the challenges of small cities., including capital improvements, projects, personnel management and coordination of activities of all city departments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of responsible budgeting and conservative financial management. City Administrator will have the ability to foster a strong team environment with staff, the Mayor, City Council and the public.

Plans, directs, coordinates and administers the activities of all City departments, commissions, and boards in the implementation of the requirement of decisions, regulation and policies of the City Council. The successful candidate will be able to lead projects from inception to completion with close attention to detail.

Bachelor’s degree in business of public administration and five years of executive level management experience required. Candidates with a Master’s degree in public or business administration and membership in ICMA will be shown preference. City Management experience preferred.”
