The 2016 Thurston County Homeless Census is scheduled for Thursday, January 28, 2016.
– Yelm Community Services and the Tenino Food Bank will be participating agencies.
Yelm Community Services will be open from 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. with I Count Thurston volunteers on hand to connect with community members who are struggling to remain stably housed.
Tenino Food Bank will be open from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. as well and have I Count Thurston volunteers on hand during that time.
At both locations, census volunteers will be handing out goody bags for those who choose to participate in the census. All census participants will also be entered to win a $50 gift card generously donated by the Yelm Food Co-op as well as a 3 Warming Kits which include a sleeping bag, a blanket, and a pair of winter socks.

I am currently working on a 12 month contract with the Thurston County Department of Health and Human Safety on a number of initiatives regarding homeless and affordable housing in our county. One undertaking is the facilitation of the annual homeless census as well as a revised 10 Year plan to address homelessness in our communities.
