– Editor’s note:
My wife and I saw this movie at the sold-out Grand Cinemas in Tacoma on Saturday night. We both agreed that EVERY American should see this movie. Regardless of your political affiliation, religious views, gender or age, Michael Moore has crafted a cinematic ensemble of our times, with his genius for irony!
Our only disappointment is that Yelm Cinemas and the Uptown Lounge owner Margaret Clapp did not have the vision to INSIST that her distributor obtain this film here in Yelm, which would have brought her theater and lounge record audiences for several weeks from all over the South Sound, as has been proven in the past with movies here of this genre.

“Academy Award®-winning director Michael Moore is back with WHERE TO INVADE NEXT: a provocative and hilarious comedy in which Moore will stop at nothing to figure out how to actually make America great again.

– “Michael Moore is back: ‘Where to Invade Next’ may be his most optimistic film yet”
“The film, his first documentary in six years, made its New York premiere at the BAM Harvey Theater in Brooklyn on Wednesday and was greeted with warm laughter and a standing ovation. Its satirical premise is that Moore, a self described “one-man army,” will “invade” countries outside the U.S., steal their “best ideas” and bring them back to the country. What follows is something akin to a travelogue (largely though Europe) which provides unexpected emotional resonance and ultimately tells American audiences more about themselves than the rest of the world. ‘The American dream seemed to be alive and well everywhere but in America,’ Moore says in the film,” by Adam Howard, MSNBC.

– “Where To Invade Next – Michael Moore Strikes a Melancholy Chord”
“Where to Invade Next is Michael Moore’s most disturbing film yet. Contrasting the progressive public policies practiced abroad with those here at home, Moore starkly drives home just how inhumane American society has truly become.
The movie is a simple exercise in comparing and contrasting American public policies with those of other countries. It’s full of Moore’s inner dialogue and characteristic humor. But it’s also profoundly moving because he cuts deep into the marrow of what’s wrong with American society and must be changed,” by Joseph A. Palermo, Professor, historian, author, Huffington Post.
