Steven Nielson announces bid for Public Lands Commissioner

“Steven Nielson Promises Urban Forestry, Protection of Private Property, and Industrial Hemp

“Nielson advocates for a competitive sustainability initiative, encouraging cities throughout the state and region to compete as leaders in conservation and sustainability solutions, including broad urban forestry and urban agriculture initiatives. Nielson says on his website, ‘I not only want us (Washington) to be better. I strive for us to be different, setting ourselves as examples in the region for forward thinking solutions.'”

“The campaign is also proposing a plan that would return lands held by the federal government back to the people of the state, providing, as Nielson states, ‘a roadmap to repatriation of the western states,'” quoting the Press Release.
