– Kelsey Hulse for Thurston County Commissioner
“Nonprofit development professional Kelsey Hulse will run for Thurston County Commissioner from District 2…will square off against Independent Gary Edwards, 69, for the county’s top spot. Edwards is a former Thurston County sheriff and lives on Lake Lawrence. The two are vying for the position after current Commissioner Sandra Romero announced she will not run for reelection.
Hulse, 33, has worked in development at The Evergreen State College. She is a Democrat and Lacey-area resident.
Commissioner District 2 contains much of East Thurston County, including Lacey, Tanglewilde, Yelm, Rainier, part of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, and the Nisqually Indian Reservation,” quoting the Nisqually Valley News.
