“KING 5 Meteorologist Rich Marriott says the mean temperature for this past April broke the old April record, set in 1977, by 3.1 degrees. Today temperatures reached a high of 87 degrees, tying the record set back in 1945.
The mean from April was also higher than what the mean usually is in the month of May.
Last April, the temperature hit 80 four times. The previous record for April was two days of 80-plus temperatures in 1981.
