‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ comes to Yelm Aug. 25-26

– “‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ comes to Thurston County”
“Local law enforcement hopes to cut down on the number of DUIs next week with a two-day emphasis patrol.

Four local agencies — the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, Olympia Police Department, Yelm Police Department and Washington State Patrol — will conduct emphasis patrols Aug. 25 and Aug. 26.

Officers will specifically look for motorists driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, according to Anne Larsen, Thurston County’s Target Zero coordinator. The Target Zero program aims to eliminate all traffic-related deaths in Washington by 2030.”

“Law enforcement agencies statewide will conduct emphasis patrols Friday (Aug. 19) to Sept. 5,” by Amelia Dickson, The Olympian.
