– Southeast Thurston Regional Fire Authority vote is passing
The Southeast Thurston Regional Fire Authority (Yelm and Rainier) levy returning the property tax rate to pre-recession levels was passing with 64 percent of the vote.

Chief Mark King said, “A big thank you to the citizens of Yelm and Rainier for their continued support and to the many groups who helped. I’m glad to know we can maintain the same level of service.”

In races with more than two candidates, where the top two winners continue to the election:
– Legislative District 2 – State Senator
Randi Becker & Marilyn Rasmussen progress to the election as is seen now, defeating Tamborine Borrelli.

– Legislative District 2 – State Rep. Pos. 2
JT Wilcox and Derek Maynes move on to the general election.

– County Commissioner District No. 1
At present, Jim Cooper and Allen Miller move on to the general election. Rainier challenger Diane Dondero is dropped.
