– “Saturday storm will hit earlier than expected”
“A major windstorm expected to hit Saturday will move in sooner than expected.
The latest forecast models show the peak winds will arrive around 4 p.m. Saturday and last until 10 p.m., according to KING 5 Meteorologist Ben Dery.”
“Saturday will start with light rain but it will increase by late morning and become heavy at times again on Saturday afternoon and evening.
Then the big show starts. It will become very windy between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m., about two hours sooner than earlier forecasts predicted. Seas off the coast will reach up to 30 feet, so expect some beach erosion.
Peak winds along the coast will be 35-40 mph with gusts of 60 mph or more.
In the interior, expect 20-45 mph winds with gusts to 55 mph. Higher gusts will happen in more exposed areas.” quoting KING 5 TV News, Seattle.
