– From The Press Release:
Triad Theater announces monthly on-stage interviews with “Whose Who in the Nisqually Watershed: mountain to sea.” Nisqually Tribal Chair, Farron McCloud, will be the first interviewee.

The Triad Theater is pleased to announce monthly on-stage interviews of “who’s who” in the Nisqually watershed: from mountain to sea, starting Thursday, January 26, 2017, 7:00 pm.

Cameron Jayne, theater director, said she is pleased and excited to bring people with notable and interesting backgrounds to the theater to be interviewed with time at the end of each session for public Q and A. It is a huge opportunity for the community to learn about individuals in the Nisqually watershed who are making a difference in a variety of ways.

Steve Craig, Vice President of the Yelm Business Association (YBA) and Fulbright Scholar, will be conducting the interviews. Craig said he is modeling the interviews along the lines of Charlie Rose, who has for several years conducted interviews on PBS television. The format will be simple and relaxed, with interesting and gentle probing of interviewee’s involvement in the Yelm and greater Nisqually community.

Monthly interviews will be divided into a fall/winter series, followed by a summer/fall series. The first interview to kick things off is with Farron McCloud, Chair of the Nisqually Tribe. “It is most appropriate to begin with Mr. McCloud, since the Nisqually people were the first to make the Nisqually watershed their home,” Craig said. “And, there is so much happening with the Tribe these days, it is hard to keep up. It will be great to hear first hand about the many happenings.”

Others very interesting interviewees will be announced soon, and the public will not be disappointed, according to Theater director Jayne.

Initial sponsors of the interview sessions at the Triad Theater are the Yelm Business Association, Keystone Masonry and Olympia Federal Savings.

Questions may be directed to Steve Craig: (360) 790-7490.
