Councilor Camrody also shared this news publicly at the Yelm City Council session on January 10th. This is really exiting for Camrody and the citizens of Yelm in having a councilor willing to represent our town in a federal conference back east. BRAVO to Councillor Carmody for accepting this trip.
Looking forward to her report when she returns.

“I am really, really excited to announce that I will be representing Intercity Transit at the Federal Legislative Conference in Washington DC in March. We’ll be educating Congress-members about the importance of mass transit and pushing for increased funding. The trip is completely funded by Intercity Transit (not Yelm). This is VERY exciting and I can’t wait! Time to study up!”
– About the 2017 Legislative Conference
“The Legislative Conference educates members on important federal legislation and policy initiatives; provides members with the opportunity to shape future industry positions and federal transportation policy; provides direction on the industry’s legislative strategy and advocacy efforts with the U.S. Congress and executive branch; and offers sessions with key members of Congress, Administration officials, staffers and Washington opinion makers.”
