Public Hearing for Septic System Fees – Consider public comments on an ordinance repealing Ordinance No. H-3-2016, dated December 16, 2016, thereby repealing the rates and charges on on-site sewage systems imposed to fund implementation of the Thurston County On-site Sewage System Management Plan Update.

– “Thurston County wants to know what you think of septic fees — again”
Thurston County officials took steps Tuesday to flush away a controversial plan that includes $10 annual fee for about 42,000 property owners with septic systems.

The county’s Board of Health met Tuesday [March 14] and scheduled an April 11 hearing at which Thurston County residents can tell the board what they think about an ordinance to repeal the fee. The hearing will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the Thurston County Courthouse’s Building 1, Room 280,” by Amelia Dickson, The Olympian.
