Intercity Transit receives grant to replace 40 vanpool vehicles

“Transportation agencies around and near the South Sound are among beneficiaries to approximately $230 million in newly awarded state and federal grants.”

“Intercity Transit, which serves Thurston County, also received a sizeable sum, including $885,000 to replace 40 vanpool vehicles.

Pierce Transit, City of Tacoma, Mason County Transportation Authority and Thurston Regional Planning Council also received funds.

Overall, more than 80 agencies statewide received awards through the Washington State Department of Transportation’s Consolidated, Regional Mobility, Formula, Vanpool and Connected Washington grant programs,” quoting the Pierce County Business Examiner.
