“A prominent Republican senator warned President Donald Trump Thursday ‘there will be holy hell to pay’ if he fires Attorney General Jeff Sessions and dared the commander-in-chief to ‘accept the consequences’ if he made such a move.

“Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., one of the many GOP lawmakers furious over Trump’s escalating attacks on Sessions, let the president know in no uncertain terms that cutting the former Alabama senator loose from his Cabinet would be met with repercussions.

“‘There will be no confirmation hearing for a new attorney general in 2017. If Jeff Sessions is fired, there will be holy hell to pay,” said Graham, who has been critical of Trump.”

“‘This effort to basically marginalize and humiliate the attorney general is not going over well in the Senate,’ he added. ‘I don’t think it’s going over well in the conservative world.’

‘If you believe Jeff Sessions should be fired, use the power you have and accept the consequences,'” Graham warned.”

This is my second submission to the National Geographic Your Shot “Off The Beaten Path” assignment, a shot I took on a truly gorgeous day up at Reflection Lakes in the Mount Rainier National Park in Washington State. The park is huge with an untold number of off the beaten track places to hike and if you go midweek like I do, it’s easy to hike in and be pretty much alone. I am truly blessed in that although this is certainly a wilderness area, it’s a less than 2 hour drive from where I live….of course I live in the boonies! The day I took this photo I also hiked to Silver Falls and to Bench Lake (photo in my Your Shot gallery), a hike which required that I slide down the last part of the trail to the lake on my fanny, lol! No mean feat when holding onto a good sized camera and lens!

“The cities of Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, Yelm and Rainier opted out of the proposed district, and 30 of 33 written comments the county received on the issue were opposed to the proposal.”

Callers in western Washington will have to dial the area code along with the seven-digit telephone number to make a local call beginning Saturday, July 29.

BACKGROUND
The Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission approved a new area code for western Washington in May 2016 to address the need for additional numbers. To implement the new area code, the commission also approved mandatory 10-digit dialing for all of western Washington.

The new area code, 564, will overlay all of Western Washington and initially be distributed to the 360 area code territory. As numbers are needed in the 206, 253 and 425 area code territories, 564 will be distributed to meet the demand.

Beginning July 29, all calls made within western Washington must be placed using the 10 digit telephone number. If consumers dial only seven digits, the call will not be completed and the caller will hear an announcement instructing them to redial including the area code.

The 564 area code will be assigned to new telephone lines or services beginning August 28.

“Weekend plans have you feeling spaced out? Beam over to Yelm’s first UFO Fest”
“The first Yelm UFO Fest is set to launch this weekend, and organizers are preparing to welcome visitors from beyond. Or at least beyond Yelm.”

“JZ Knight, president of Ramtha’s School of Enlightenment in Yelm and known for her claims that she channels a 35,000-year-old warrior spirit named Ramtha, also will speak as part of the festival. Knight’s speech will be held at Ramtha’s School of Enlightenment, and admission is $50.”

“The festival was organized through a partnership between The Triad Arts Theater, Nisqually Valley News, and Puget Sound Entertainment. Michael Wagar, publisher at Nisqually Valley News, and his friend Steve Craig hatched the idea during a casual conversation. Then offers to help began pouring in.”

“Jayne offered to host — a UFO fest was right up her alley and the Triad could use a fundraiser. Cory Kolilis at Puget Sound Entertainment offered his festival set-up expertise. The City of Yelm was supportive. It was perfect “synchronicity,” as several organizers described it.”

“Jayne hopes that the UFO Fest will provide an opportunity for people of “all walks of life” to come together, dress up in their best alien garb, and celebrate being “a little out there.”
