– “Police: Thurston Co. man went to sell some fishing poles, then vanished”
“Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing Thurston County man who hasn’t been seen since he went to meet a potential buyer who contacted him online about buying some fishing poles.

The missing man, identified as Eric A. Rearden, 41, advertised the fishing poles for sale on the OfferUp.com website. At about 8 p.m. on Sept. 5 he went to the Chevron gas station in Nisqually Valley to meet with a potential buyer from Lynnwood. He hasn’t been seen since.

Rearden’s car, a red 1995 Suzuki Swift two-door with license plate number BDZ-2147, also is missing.

Rearden is described as a 41-year-old white male standing 6-feet-5-inches tall and weighing 360 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was clean-shaven when last seen, with a crew-cut style haircut.

Anyone who has seen Rearden or who knows his whereabouts is urged to contact the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office at 360-786-5599 or call 911 dispatch at 360-704-2740,” by KOMO TV 4 (ABC) Staff.
