Gov. Inslee in Bonn, Germany participating in UN Climate Talks –
Over 15,000 Scientists Issued a ‘Second Notice’ to Humanity – “Can We Listen Now?”

Gov. Jay Inslee and other climate leaders are in Bonn, Germany this week to participate in the UN climate talks. Inslee and others responded to President Trump’s fossil fuel event and discussed their commitments to a clean energy future. Watch the video here.

“The fundamental message at Bonn is that Donald Trump cannot stop us. This is the most important thing we want the world to know. The U.S. Climate Alliance states make up 40 percent of the economy and we have hundreds of cities, universities and businesses that aren’t slowing down one bit on our work to move away from coal and towards a clean energy future and economy,” Inslee said.

Gov. Jay Inslee and other members of the Pacific Coast Collaborative, joined a panel discussion today [November 13, 2017] in Bonn, Germany, focused on moving toward a clean energy economy.

“The West Coast offers a blueprint: this is how you build a thriving, innovative economy that combats climate change and embraces a zero-emission future,” Inslee said. “We know it’s possible because we’re doing it.”

“Meeting for annual climate talks, America’s political leaders are forcefully reiterating their commitments to the landmark Paris climate accord, despite President Donald Trump’s dismissal of the pact as a threat to the nation’s economy and sovereignty.

Govs. Jerry Brown of California, Jay Inslee of Washington and Kate Brown of Oregon – top officials of the West Coast’s “Blue Wall” – promised in Bonn to fill the widening gap left by the federal government’s retreat from the international stage.
