– What is The Templeton Prize?
“The Templeton Prize honors a living person who has made an exceptional contribution to affirming life’s spiritual dimension, whether through insight, discovery, or practical works. Established in 1972 by the late Sir John Templeton, the Prize aims, in his words, to identify “entrepreneurs of the spirit”—outstanding individuals who have devoted their talents to expanding our vision of human purpose and ultimate reality. The Prize celebrates no particular faith tradition or notion of God, but rather the quest for progress in humanity’s efforts to comprehend the many and diverse manifestations of the Divine.”

I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this award than JZ Knight who has given her life to further the development of mankind. Her personal experience of over 40 years has given a new meaning to our understanding of who and what we really are. She is a brilliant mind, an inventor, a mentor and a daily contributor to the potential of mankind. She represents a model to inspire all who have the privilege of hearing her words!
Bang on, Carol!
Hi Steve — I would like to take a moment to acknowledge Sandra Burnett — who has consistently and ceaselessly put the work into submitting the lengthy applications in which to nominate JZ for this award for many years. The Templeton Award nomination process is comprehensive — and Sandra has organized and spear-headed the laborious process for JZ since 2006. The persistence Sandra has shown through all these years in keeping JZ’s work in front of the Templeton Prize committee should be recognized. Thanks!
