– Editor’s note:
This was truly a remarkable evening to witness all of Yelm coming together for a good time and no matter one’s persuasions, everyone had fun: politicians, Ramtha students, Nisqually Tribe members, police and military public servants, families, neighbors and friends. BRAVO to creator and Pizzeria LaGitana co-owner Marian Licxandru, and a team of awesome volunteers managed by his co-owner Alin Stanciu, and to their co-host, the city of Yelm, for a magnificent event, where from every standpoint, Yelm became a community!
The city of Yelm estimates 700 attendees, more than double the 300+ last year.
– From Jazz in the Park creator and organizer, Marian Licxandru:
Wow!!! What an evening. 🙂
Thank you everyone for participating and thank you to our sponsors for bringing in the funds to make this dream happen.
Here is what we’ve learned from this event:
Lesson 1: Yelm people love this kind of events
Lesson 2: Bring more beer
Lesson 3: Have more food options
Lesson 4: Make it a 2 day event.
Lesson 5: Dance floor should be closer to the stage.
See you again @ Pizzeria La Gitana or in 2019 at the next Jazz event. 👍❤️
