National Geographic’s Your Shot Senior Producer Matt Adams on Sagner’s photo
“@Rory Sagner, I love this moment Rory. It’s one of those fun moments that just happens right in front of you and you have to be prepared to capture this image. Great work with your composition and finding a way to get a low perspective for your angle.”

– How Sagner captioned her photo submission
“DOUBLE THE LOVE” #children #animals #love #twins #burros #gobeyond
“These two burros (who I noticed earlier being very affectionate with each other), seemed especially fascinated by the twin girls visiting them at the Thurston County State Fair. The burros wanted petting of course, but the way they looked at these little girls, it was almost like they were trying to figure out if they were seeing double or not! Some people don’t realize how intelligent & sensitive these animals are. We need to go beyond our limited attitudes & appreciate their awareness.”
