“Welcome Back”
“Greetings and welcome to what promises to be an incredible year in the Yelm Community Schools. In the weeks leading up to the start of the 2018-19 school year, there is a palpable sense of positive expectation and hope for our 5,900 students. At our new employee orientation and district kickoff, it was clear that our staff has embraced our quest to be an exemplary school system, dedicated to each student’s progress toward graduation, continuing education and work. We also welcome our role as the hub of the community, seeking to serve families through partnerships with our city, service organizations and higher education. Together, with a shared focus on learning, let’s make 2018-19 a year of high growth and achievement, accompanied by celebration of our collective work. Let’s put students at the forefront and strive for the greatest impact on their education. Have a great school year YCS!”
